Safety

Safety of children – IMPORTANT! For the safety of children, we ask that they remain within the camping grounds where your pitch is allocated unless supervised by an adult. Playing on the banks of ditches surrounding the Campfield and pond is dangerous and prohibited. For reasons of safety and hygiene, please do not allow them to play by the emptying points, car parks, driveways and other private areas. Please ensure you always know where they are. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the shower room and toilets. Playing in the shower/toilet area, laundry room, is not permitted. We encourage all the children to have fun and enjoy their time at the site, but we ask them to respect other campers and their property.

Safety and your responsibility: You are reminded to take all reasonable steps to ensure your own safety. Children and pets are your responsibility at ALL times and must be supervised.

Jessamine Farm is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Romney Marsh, with many unusual plants and animals. We ask that you remember the risks associated with wild or farm animals and poisonous plants. We accept no responsibility for any injuries or illnesses that you suffer as a result of bites, stings, eating or playing with poisonous plants. If in any doubt, please always ask us, and encourage your children not to touch plants or animals that you or they cannot positively identify.

Climbing on trees, fences, and any farm equipment is strictly prohibited for safety reasons, unless explicit permission is given. Jessamine Farm features some ditches, brambles, rabbit holes and other natural hazards. We recommend that you come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear; we can accept no responsibility for discomfort or injury caused by these or other natural hazards. Due to trees and some overhead cables, the flying of kites is prohibited for your own safety.

NO water balloons are allowed, or any type of Nerf Gun/airsoft, fireworks, Chinese lanterns, or dangerous materials or substances are allowed on the premises. Our campsite is adjoining land used for farming and agriculture. Campers must be mindful of animals and crops whilst staying with us. We do have animals on site. Gas Bottles: Gas bottles are allowed but must remain on your pitch and need to be taken with you when you leave. If a gas bottle remains behind, you will be contacted and asked to remove it. If necessary, we will charge the cost of disposal.

The use of gas cookers, gas heaters or naked flames is not allowed at any time in the glamping accommodations that we offer or within your own tents whilst on the campsite. This is due to the risk of fire and carbon monoxide poisoning.

Only authorised vehicles are allowed access to the main campsite areas. All guests and any additional guests visiting the campsite may only park in the designated car park area. All cars, vehicles, motorbikes, bikes or other vehicles are parked at their owners' risk. Jessamine Farm accepts no liability for loss or damage to cars, vehicles, motorbikes, bikes or other vehicles.

All Vehicles must be registered with reception; any unregistered vehicles may be clamped and unclamped for a fee of £50.00.

Monthly customers

You are only guaranteed a pitch for the month of purchase, suggesting that T&Cs are not broken. This does not entitle you to stay in your caravan/campervan for the full period or live on site. You are not allowed to have mail delivered to Jessamine Farm or use this address for any personal correspondence.

Monthly pitch holders are permitted to stay for a maximum of 28 consecutive days. Following this period, the Guest and their Caravan/Campervan must vacate the site for a minimum of 48 hours before a new booking can commence, unless the unit is moved into designated storage.

If you would like to go away and leave your caravan/campervan out of your monthly contract, you must arrange either to use the storage facilities or remove your caravan/campervan from the site. Storage spaces are subject to availability. You will not be guaranteed a new monthly pitch after storage.

The exterior of your caravan/campervan must be kept clean and tidy, as well as the surrounding area. No storage boxes and awnings may only be used whilst at your pitch and must be taken down when you leave, unless arranged with staff.

Caravan/Campervan storage

Storage is priced at £60 per calendar month and is paid a month in advance. Should payments lapse, we will store the unit for 28 days. After that period, if payments have not been brought up to date, we reserve the right to remove or sell the unit and its contents.

We can accept no liability for units that are damaged by adverse weather, fire or vandalism and ask that you insure your stored unit for hazards such as these. Whilst we have made our storage as secure as possible, we cannot entirely rule out the possibility of theft. In the very unlikely event that this should happen, we will do our best to supply appropriate evidence to the police and insurance companies.

We require a completed contact sheet, and it is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes of address or telephone numbers. We accept no responsibility should you not receive any communication that we have records of sending.

You are not permitted to stay in your stored unit, and we ask that you inform us 24 hours before visiting or removing it. In most cases, you will be asked to leave your unit in the car park, and we will move it to our designated storage area. Photographs will be taken of any damage before storing and noted on your contact sheet.

We reserve the right to move your stored unit at any time and promise to do this carefully. Your stored unit will be kept as securely and safely as possible at all times with constant monitoring. For this reason, we ask that you remove any hitch or wheel locks and keep the unit packed for moving in case we need to move it or bring it to the gate for you to take.
